Description of problem:

When attempting to view all open files (empty input field) with the monitor starting on System tab (and sometimes even elsewhere) one gets this error message: 

GLib-CRITICAL **: g_regex_match_full: assertion `regex != NULL' failed

 2.28.0-7

How reproducible:

Pretty well, doesn't happen all the time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open System Monitor, select System tab, press ctrl+o, and press find
2.

Actual results:

The error message and no open files found

Expected results:

It should display all open files or the option should be disabled in the System tab

Since RHEL 6.2 External Beta has begun, and this bug remains
unresolved, it has been rejected as it is not proposed as
exception or blocker.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 is in the Production 3 Phase. During the Production 3 Phase, Critical impact Security Advisories (RHSAs) and selected Urgent Priority Bug Fix Advisories (RHBAs) may be released as they become available.
