after the corrupted startup logo the login prompt is working fine only with some audio glitches startup worked fine in f11 also Sorry but this doesn't sound like a problem with alsa-firmware. alsa-firmware contains firmware drivers for a very small number of specialist sound cards only. Please be aware that problems with sound can be caused by many different software components within a Fedora system (including ALSA kernel modules, PulseAudio, desktop volume controls, individual applications and more) and you may find it easier to get some informal help to track down the problem before filing bugs (if necessary), so that you can file them against the right component and the appropriate person can help. Description of problem: have moved to f15 and at startup screen gets corrupted when fedora logo fills up to prox. 75% this happens both with LiveCD-usb and full installation then if some heavy use happens the screen freezes and never freezes if audio is playing that problem was there since f11 even earlier now with f15 I am able to suspend although after it comes back screen starts hectic flickering of mixed fragments again audio playback "fixes" it for some time Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: everytime Steps to Reproduce: 1.boot LiveCD 2.install DVD 3.
