Created attachment 513985 [details]
The attachment has the file contains the whole fv_storage run and v7 rpm

Description of problem:

We are using v7-1.3 release 46 to certify DELL PowerEdge Hardware. During fv_storage test run we are seeing failure of the test on Server but other Virtualization tests are passing.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

RHEL5-SP7-RC2
V7-1.3-release 46

How reproducible:

Every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install RHEL5-SP7
2.Install v7-1.3-release 46
3.Execute v7 run --test fv_storage --server Server-IP

Actual results:

V7 print shows fv_storage failed.

Expected results:

Test should pass.

Additional info:

I observed the test execution and found that v7 sets a limit of 60 minutes for any Virtualization test, and in case of fv_storage test is not getting completed within the time limit. So after 60 min the suit destroys the guest but since test is not completed output log records test result as failed test case.

Here is the link from where i have downloaded the fv-images for v7 run.
ftp://partners.redhat.com/a166eabc5cf5df158922f9b06e5e7b21/hwcert/

The output log file says timed out : guest destroyed.

Do you know which specific v7 images and v7-data images were used in the testing? The log shows v7-1.2-25 in the guest.

This looks like a previous issue where the FV guest would pass the fsck timeout. This has long been addressed in the current images.

hi
This was the data image i was using. v7data-20110422.img.tar.bz2.

I will try it with the data image v7data-20111003.img.tar.bz2 that you have mentioned in bz:Bug 742884 and will respond back.

Hi Ashish, any update on this if it's still a problem or resolved with the current set of virt images?

Comment 4 Ashish 2012-01-12 01:35:31 UTC
We have the passing results with v7-1.4-38 and new images provided.
