LVM mirrors were not supported as a root device by the dracut initramfs. This enhancement adds support for LVM mirror devices to serve as the root device. Additionally degraded mirrors are used after a certain timeout, when the other half could not be found at booting time.

This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux maintenance release. This enhancement adds support for LVM mirror devices to serve as the root device. Additionally degraded mirrors are used after a certain timeout, when the other half could not be found at booting time.
