Description Len DiMaggio 2009-04-14 13:08:52 UTC
Affects: Documentation (Ref Guide, User Guide, etc.)
Date of First Response: 2009-11-19 03:08:29

Both the terms "package" and "knowledge base" are used in the UI - I thought that the decision had been made to rename packages to "knowledge base."

See attached screenshot.

Comment 3 Len DiMaggio 2009-05-01 14:31:57 UTC
So - for the initial Drools5/BRMS release - is the best way to describe this:

In BRMS, you have one Knowledge base, which contains one or more Knowledge Packages. In the UI, Knowledge Packages are also referred to as simply "packages."

(We should make this clear in the user docs.)

Comment 4 Jervis Liu 2009-11-19 08:08:29 UTC
So is this issue a doc issue only?

Confirms this is a documentation Jira only.

Comment 6 Tihomir Surdilovic 2010-09-08 19:27:59 UTC
Len, can you please investigate if this has made it into the docs?

Release Notes Text: Added: In BRMS, there is one knowledge base which contains one or more knowledge packages. The software's user interface currently refers to knowledge packages as "packages." The documentation uses the correct term "knowledge packages.."
