Comment 10 Lukáš Petrovický 2010-11-23 08:21:31 UTC
BRMS still doesn't contain Janino JAR anywhere. Do we actually support Janino compilation?

Comment 11 Len DiMaggio 2010-11-23 16:51:10 UTC
It looks like the Drools test suite - at least - uses Janino: https://jira.jboss.org/browse/BRMS-287

Comment 12 Lukáš Petrovický 2010-11-23 20:13:44 UTC
Yes, the Drools test suite does but only becase we've configured it to. If we don't support Janino (which I don't know), it can be disabled as well.

Comment 13 Tihomir Surdilovic 2010-12-03 04:24:23 UTC
Not sure whats needed here. Can you guys please elaborate ?

Comment 14 Lukáš Petrovický 2010-12-03 07:53:41 UTC
Well, if the user ever tries to compile anything with the Janino compiler, it will end with CNFE - because the Janino JAR is nowhere to be found.

Comment 16 Tihomir Surdilovic 2010-12-03 14:06:35 UTC
started defaulting to the eclipse compiler with 5.1 and janino dependency was made "provided" in drools-compiler pom.xml

not sure about jsr94 as that is still a dependency in the drools-jsr94 module, if we are no longer building this module that could explain it
