Description Petr Široký 2010-11-10 15:48:57 UTC
securitylevel_name: Public

When installing modeshape (that is delivered with brms-deployable binaries) on EAP-5.1, the installation does not copy the files that are needed for brms.

These files should be installed/updated:
File 'modeshape/resources/modeshape-brms-store-ds.xml' shouled be copied to '{config}/deploy' directory.

File '{config}/deploy/modeshape-services.jar/modeshape-config.xml' should contain brms repository configuration.

The installation is performed correctly on EWP.

Petr,
When you say it is installed correctly on EWP, are you trying the stand alone bundle or you are installing a fresh EWP and installing modeshape ?
what is really different in EAP compared to EWP ? They should technically be same ...

Comment 4 Petr Široký 2010-11-15 12:14:19 UTC
I tried both standalone and deployable version. The problem is probably in modeshape's build.xml file. The file is prepared for installing modeshape to EWP but not to EAP (files needed for brms are not installed).

Comment 5 Van Halbert 2010-11-15 17:03:33 UTC
You are correct, modeshape installation was only setup to expect brms in the EWP kit. It was never designed to be installed in EAP in this manner. Working on the installation process to check for the existence of brms.war to know whether to install as the assumed usage under brms.

Comment 6 Van Halbert 2010-11-15 23:01:27 UTC
Grab a new eap and modeshape kit, and before installing modeshape, replace its build.xml with this file.

Comment 8 Van Halbert 2010-11-15 23:04:08 UTC
See attached build.xml for a patch to a new install. Also, this file has been checked into svn so that the next build will pull the update.

Comment 9 Petr Široký 2010-11-16 12:54:52 UTC
I tried to install modeshape on eap-5.1 with build.xml you provided and it worked. The files mentioned in description are in place.

Verified fixed in BRMS 5.1.0 ER4
