Description janez.kosmrlj 2011-07-22 12:48:08 UTC
Description of problem:
A user is unable to move files to trash if files are on a samba share
User gets the error "not on the same file system"

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
create a samba share
mount the share to a directory (in our case /opt/doc)
create a link to the user desktop (ln -s /opt/doc /home/user/Desktop/doc)
create a file in the dir
right click on the file and try to delete it

instead of the move to trash question you get the error "not on the same filesystem"

if you bypass the trash using "SHIFT+DEL" or if you delite from a terminal everything works as expected.

Additional info:

this works ok with gnome-vfs2-2.16.2-4.el5 but with any later version including gnome-vfs2-2.16.2-8.el5 it doesn't work
