Confirmed here also F15/KDE-4.6.5. Rolling back mesa and all is well again. Same here. Also running f15/kde and using nouveau driver with NVIDIA NV4b chipset. 7.11-0.16.20110709.0.fc15 produces bad colors with desktop effects enabled; rolling back to 7.11-0.9.20110509.0.fc15 is okay. *** Bug 725177 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Seems like related to nouveau driver ... reassigning to Ben Skeggs. And with this snapshot? http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=256099 No change here with mesa-7.11-0.17.20110729.0.fc15. Colors still get swapped. Hi, Can this issue be related to this fix? * Tue Jun 21 2011 Dave Airlie <airlied> 7.11-0.14.20110621.0 - update to latest mesa 7.11 with nvfx g-s fix. Martin Kho Have same issue. It should be noticed that the current issue is not global. For example, such areas experience problems: - kde system menu and tray (icons and plasmoids), "shutdown" plasmoid - kde aplications menu - konsole commandline and such are not: - python and gtk apps - kde application toolbars and working area - kde desktop plasmoids xorg log with logverbose=7 and dmesg with drm.debug=0x04 attached xorg.conf: none Components: $ lspci | grep VGA 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV43 [GeForce 6600] (rev a2) $ uname -r 2.6.38.8-35.fc15.x86_64 KDE 4.6.5 mesa 7.11-0.16.20110709.0 and mesa-7.11-0.17.20110729.0 xorg-x11-drv-nouveau-0.0.16-24.20110324git8378443 mesa packages installed: $ rpm -qa | grep mesa mesa-dri-drivers-7.11-0.17.20110729.0.fc15.x86_64 mesa-libGL-7.11-0.17.20110729.0.fc15.x86_64 mesa-libGLU-7.11-0.17.20110729.0.fc15.x86_64 mesa-dri-llvmcore-7.11-0.17.20110729.0.fc15.x86_64 mesa-libGLU-7.11-0.17.20110729.0.fc15.i686 mesa-libGL-7.11-0.17.20110729.0.fc15.i686 mesa-dri-filesystem-7.11-0.17.20110729.0.fc15.x86_64 Created attachment 515996 [details]

Some other info, if it is useful: I have a second machine with exactly same SW but quite different HW (intel video, not nvidia). Current issue doesn't appear there. Another mesa build to try, this one *definitely* has the patch I was thinking of. Not sure if the previous one did... http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=256193 mesa-7.11-0.18.20110730.0.fc15 seems to be working fine for me - colors are back to normal again. Thanks. Hi Ben, You did it again! :-) Everything is fine now. Thanks for your great work. Martin Kho Thank you for letting us know. |
