Description Chris Brereton 2011-07-29 08:10:02 UTC
SELinux is preventing /bin/cp from 'write' accesses on the file /etc/munin/templates/logo.png.

***** Plugin catchall (100. confidence) suggests ***************************

If you believe that cp should be allowed write access on the logo.png file by default.
Then you should report this as a bug.
You can generate a local policy module to allow this access.
Do
allow this access for now by executing:
# grep cp /var/log/audit/audit.log | audit2allow -M mypol
# semodule -i mypol.pp

Comment 1 Miroslav Grepl 2011-07-29 11:35:01 UTC
Did this happen during starting the munin service?

Comment 2 Miroslav Grepl 2011-07-29 11:35:52 UTC
Why does munin write to /etc/munin?

Comment 3 Kevin Fenzi 2011-07-29 15:18:18 UTC
Odd. I have no idea why it would off hand.

Was this as service start time? or during a munin cron run? or ?

Comment 4 Chris Brereton 2011-07-29 18:26:39 UTC
This was encountered when trying to update a munin cron run.

Comment 5 Kevin Fenzi 2011-07-31 17:41:52 UTC
Well, what it should be doing is copying _from_ there to /var/www...

15375 execve("/bin/cp", ["cp", "/etc/munin/templates//logo.png", "/var/www/html/munin/"], [/* 70 vars */]) = 0

can you provide:

rpm -q munin munin-node
rpm -V munin
ls -lRZ /var/www/html/munin/

Comment 6 Fedora End Of Life 2012-08-07 20:09:15 UTC
This message is a notice that Fedora 15 is now at end of life. Fedora
has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 15. It is
Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no
longer maintained. At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version'
of '15' have been closed as WONTFIX.

(Please note: Our normal process is to give advanced warning of this
occurring, but we forgot to do that. A thousand apologies.)

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, feel free to reopen
this bug and simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that
we were unable to fix it before Fedora 15 reached end of life. If you
would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it
against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on
"Clone This Bug" (top right of this page) and open it against that
version of Fedora.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

The process we are following is described here:
