Thanks for a bug report. I would move this upstream, as it doesn't seem to be fedora specific, but before that, I've couple questions: a) are you using IMAP or IMAP+ provider? You can choose them in account preferences. If you try the other than you have set now, will it change anything? (this change requires evolution restart, unfortunately). b) seeing the 'owa' as the domain prefix, I suppose the other part is exchange server, do you know what version it is, please? I think it's visible in OWA interface, when you login in a web browser, in Options->About for my 2007 exchange server. (it shows 8.1.x.y on two keys there, which I expect being server versions). Hello, I have the same strange issue. I'm on fedora 15 x86_64. evolution-3.0.3-1.fc15.x86_64 I have multiple account (pop, imap, exchange). One imap account in lan with tls without problems, another imap with ssl on the web (on the provider aruba.it) every 10-15 minutes give me the same big red error Error while pinging imap server imaps.pec.aruba.it Server unexpectedly disconnected.Connection reset by the peer I have disabled the automatic check mail. Then tried to set to IMAP+. No luck. If you need more info ... Thanks Evolution tends to keep connections opened for ever, and if server doesn't like it, and disconnects on its own, then it may result in this. I'm wondering whether fixing providers like IMAP/IMAP+ for auto-reconnect on these particular resets would fix the issue, and not just workaround it. This message is a notice that Fedora 15 is now at end of life. Fedora has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 15. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version' of '15' have been closed as WONTFIX. (Please note: Our normal process is to give advanced warning of this occurring, but we forgot to do that. A thousand apologies.) Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, feel free to reopen this bug and simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were unable to fix it before Fedora 15 reached end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on "Clone This Bug" (top right of this page) and open it against that version of Fedora. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. The process we are following is described here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping |
