Description of problem:
I can't type the superuser password when prompted to shut down my machine with another user logged in on another VT.

How reproducible:
Always.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Switch to a VT, log in as another user (e.g. root).
2. Switch back to GNOME session.
3. Click one's name in the top right corner of the screen.
4. Hold down Alt, select "Power Off...", click "Power Off" in following dialog.
   
Actual results:
Prompt for superuser password, according to policy. Typing doesn't work, cannot proceed past this point.

Expected results:
Being able to enter superuser password and shut down machine.

polkit-gnome is only used in GNOME for fallback mode so reassigning to the desktop shell.. sounds to me like this is a problem with the shell showing a system modal dialog then doing something that triggers an authentication dialog. We probably some way to make polkit dialogs always take priority. Ray?

Suggest to move the bug upstream.
