Description of problem:

"Configure display settings", changing monitor orientation
from the popup window (as opposed to clicking the 
"Configure Display Settings" menu-item) crashes the desktop
session, after the screen goes haywire for a second.
Im thrown back to login screen.

How reproducible:

3 times in a row.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. click "Configure display settings" panel icon.
2. click "Left"
3. session crashes
  
Actual results:

Switching screen orientation from the menu-item
doesnt crash.  Screen goes haywire, but this reverts
itself, due to the "Does the display look OK"
dialog, which I presume displayed, and reverted to 
the working config after the timeout.

Expected results:

no session crash.

Additional info:

I guessed at the component - the gnome-applets choice disappeared
since my last bug report (on the desktop icons placement)

This message is a notice that Fedora 14 is now at end of life. Fedora 
has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 14. It is 
Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no 
longer maintained.  At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version'
