Could it be a regression in glibc-2.14.90-6.x86_64 ?
https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2011-11443 hints that this really is a glibc issue. Reassigning. For me the crash haven't happened again after I downgraded from glibc-2.14.90-6 (which now has been withdrawen from -testing) to glibc-2.14.90-4. Package: gnome-settings-daemon-3.1.5-1.fc16 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne) Comment ----- Logged in. Craig: what do rpm -q glibc say on this system? (In reply to comment #8) > Craig: what do > rpm -q glibc > say on this system? glibc-2.14.90-6.x86_64 Craig: that glibc version has been dropped again. You should downgrade to -4 again: yum downgrade glibc glibc-devel glibc-common glibc-headers So, this was caused by glibc, which has been fixed meanwhile. *** Bug 733465 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
