Description of problem:  I just installed RHEL 6.1 workstation on my macbook.  After the installation the system was not bootable.  I'm not using bootcamp or any Apple related software, so I may not have primed the system correctly, but MacOS has never been installed on this system.  It is, in my mind, an EFI only laptop regardless of who made it.

Anyway, I booted off of rescue media, ran gptsync -q and the system now boots just fine.


Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): RHEL6.1 (I'm guessing this is anaconda related, but it could be some EFI voodoo)


How reproducible: always


Steps to Reproduce:
1. make gpt label
2. create EFI partition
3. Install RHEL
4. fail to boot
5. run gptsync
6. reboot successfully
  
Actual results:  System unbootable


Expected results: system would reboot into Linux


Additional info:  The system has never had any Apple software loaded, does not dual boot, or run anything but Linux

Macbook is not supported hardware for RHEL6. Here is a fedora bug report that might give you some pointers on how to make it work: bug 503149.
