Without the fixes the qlogic management app will be crippled.

This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion
in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux maintenance release. Product Management has 
requested further review of this request by Red Hat Engineering, for potential
inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Update release for currently deployed 
products. This request is not yet committed for inclusion in an Update release.

Exception notes:

These patches are not invasive to the iscsi/scsi layer. They are mostly changes to the qla4xxx driver which is the only driver using the interface at this time. 

Without the patches the rhel 6 interface will be out of sync with what is going upstream so we would have to support a forked version.
