I've symlinked ppc64 to ppc on ftp.redhat.com and these links should work now.

Comment 2 mark wisner 2011-09-06 19:37:04 UTC
It works now, thanks for the quick response.

Hi,to install kernel-debuginfo it pre-requests kernel-debuginfo-commn-ppc64. Could you also put that rpm in the download channel package link? Thanks.

(I didn't find it there. When I clicked that bottom debuginfo package link it only gives one debuginfo and no debuginfo-common.

Comment 4 jizhang 2011-09-06 20:49:07 UTC
Ok, just now I got it from ftp.redhat.com, but not from what I said that download channel.

This is a limitation of rhn.redhat.com and is not an easy fix. Adding additional debuginfo links would involve database scheme changes, code changes, UI changes, API changes, etc.

As you found, you can find the debuginfo packages by browsing ftp://ftp.redhat.com/redhat/linux/enterprise/5Server/en/os/ppc64/Debuginfo/

Alternatively, RHEL 5 includes a yum repo definition for debuginfo packages. You can install the package this way:

yum --disablerepo=* --enablerepo=rhel-debuginfo install kernel-debuginfo-common-2.6.18-128.el5.ppc64
