Description Christoph Wickert 2011-09-07 22:38:06 UTC
Description of problem:
I recently updated to Evolution 3.0.1 on Fedora 15. Now moving mails no longer
works properly. This is very annoying.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
evolution-3.0.2-3.fc15.x86_64
evolution-data-server-3.0.2-1.fc15.x86_64

How reproducible:
always (with certain folders, not with others)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Move a mail from one local folder to another

Actual results:
Mails moved to another folder are still shown in the old folder but as deleted
(striked through). Clicking on one of the mails yields an error in the preview
pane.

In order to update the folder I first need to enter another folder and then
back again or delete a mail in the folder.

Expected results:
Mails should be moved directly.

Additional info:
This was reported and fixed upstream, see

Thanks for a bug report, but I do not understand its intention, to be honest. The upstream bug states that this is fixed in 3.0.3 and 3.0.3 was released only recently, furthermore, the update is pending in updates-testing right now [1], though there will be some changes regarding to it, as it will be joined to libtevent update most likely.

Comment 2 Christoph Wickert 2011-09-08 08:40:41 UTC
In the upstream bug you stated it was fixed in "3.0.3+" and the + made me think that it is actually *after* 3.0.3. So I filed this but to get the patch into our 3.0.3 package.

Hehe, think of it like of game ratings. 18+ doesn't mean you can play it when you are 19 (and more) years old :)
