Package: gjs-1.29.17-1.fc16 Architecture: i686 OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne) Comment ----- try to start shortcut "documents" on left favorites bar This package has changed ownership in the Fedora Package Database. Reassigning to the new owner of this component. *** Bug 738971 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 738935 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Proposing as a Beta blocker per criterion "No part of any release-blocking desktop's panel (or equivalent) configuration should crash or be entirely non-functional on boot of the installed system using default installation choices" - I'd consider the Dash to be part of Shell's 'equivalent' of a panel. We can 'fix' this from a blocker perspective by removing gnome-documents from the Dash, as well as by fixing the actual bug. Package: gjs-1.29.17-1.fc16 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne) Comment ----- Launch via Overview mode->Applications->Documents damnit, missed proposing this as a blocker. need to confirm whether it's on the Dash for Beta RC2 builds, tohugh. Package: gjs-1.29.17-1.fc16 Architecture: i686 OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne) Comment ----- Beta RC2-DVD tried to use documents favorite on left panel DVD installs gnome3-shell 3.1.91 but: Documents favorite works on RC-2 Beta netinstall in gnome3-shell 3.1.92 Discussed at 2011-09-26 QA meeting, acting as a blocker review meeting. Accepted as blocker per criterion "No part of any release-blocking desktop's panel (or equivalent) configuration should crash or be entirely non-functional on boot of the installed system using default installation choices" (the Dash is considered part of the default panel configuration, as it replaces quicklaunchers). For Beta, we can fix this simply by dropping gnome-documents from comps. For post-beta, it's fixed in 3.1.92. This will be addressed in RC3 by dropping gnome-documents from comps, but we can't change the status of the bug as this change doesn't address the bug itself. So, un-setting the Beta blocker flag. If somehow the comps change doesn't work, we can re-set it. Package: gjs-1.29.18-1.fc16 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne) Comment ----- Trying to launch gnome-documents on F16 Beta RC4 Package: gjs-1.30.0-1.fc16 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne) Comment ----- Applications - Accesories - Documents This message is a reminder that Fedora 16 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 16. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '16'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 16's end of life. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 16 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on "Clone This Bug" and open it against that version of Fedora. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. The process we are following is described here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping Fedora 16 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2013-02-12. Fedora 16 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed. |
