File: backtrace
From the backtrace, it looks like an xorg (or gtk3) issue. Perhaps you are seeing assertion failure like this, when running other gtk3 apps (like gedit) from terminal? Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_window_get_events: assertion `GDK_IS_WINDOW (window)' failed I've not yet succeeded to reproduce the problem though. I was only once able to randomly reproduce it. Don't think i'll be using eekboard anymore anyway since i managed to get the shell's OSK working. *** Bug 756909 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** In any case, eekboard shouldn't abort on such an assertion failure. I removed g_log_set_always_fatal() so far and will investigate the real cause later. eekboard-1.0.5-1.fc16 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 16. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/eekboard-1.0.5-1.fc16 eekboard-1.0.5-1.fc15 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 15. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/eekboard-1.0.5-1.fc15 Package eekboard-1.0.5-1.fc16: * should fix your issue, * was pushed to the Fedora 16 testing repository, * should be available at your local mirror within two days.
