Description of problem:
When connecting to a VPN, the password dialog takes a long time (a minute or more) to appear.

Is this still an issue? If so, please provide more info, like what desktop environment do you use, how did you configured the connection, etc. Also, check NM logs in /var/log/messages.

No, seems fine now.
