How to reproduce
-----
1. Cought this absolutely randonmly during shutdown (actually, after I booted back)
2. Not reproducible. I did a shutdown as at least 100 times before.

Comment 2 Dave Jones 2011-09-26 16:17:04 UTC
that's this ..

        if (WARN_ON(rdev->scan_req && rdev->scan_req->dev == wdev->netdev)) {

John ?

(Note David filed several other nvidia related bugs which indicated kernel memory corruption, so this might be a red herring).

Comment 3 David Kovalsky 2011-09-26 16:40:45 UTC
A bit more info - the NVidia memory curruptor bugs were from one single boot. First the corruptor bug, then a bunch of bad page and related.

This one if from a boot where I haven't seen anything similar. The system was running smootly without any crashes or faults and this popped up during shutdown.

Likely not related but in case it helps: I did stress the system a lot as I was compiling and also copying data from one luks device to another. Then shutdown.

Comment 4 Stanislaw Gruszka 2011-10-03 15:19:09 UTC
This problem is fixed in 2.6.37 kernel and newer, we will not backport fixes. You may consider update to F-15, or use http://people.redhat.com/sgruszka/compat_wireless.html if problem annoys you
