/var/log/messages from suspend attempt

My F16 laptop has stopped going into suspend when either the lid is closed or when I select "suspend" from the gnome-shell menu. Doing this though still allows suspend to work:

    # echo mem > /sys/power/state

When I try to suspend through the GUI, the screen goes black for a second and then immediately pops back up a password prompt as if it were immediately resumed.

Attaching /var/log/messages from the event, though there's little of interest in there that I can see.

The machine has this version of gnome-power-manager installed:

    gnome-power-manager-3.1.92-1.fc16.x86_64

What does "pm-suspend" as root do?

Comment 3 Jeff Layton 2011-11-15 14:22:12 UTC
I ended up going back to f15 after that, and have since upgraded to f16 closer to release, and it's now working. I think we can close this as CURRENTRELEASE...
