I don't see any sparkles in the video... but more logs could be helpful: Please add drm.debug=0x04 to the kernel command line, restart computer, and attach * your X server config file (/etc/X11/xorg.conf, if available), * X server log file (/var/log/Xorg.*.log) * output of the dmesg command, and * system log (/var/log/messages) to the bug report as individual uncompressed file attachments. I had a similar problem with one of my monitors. (Actually I don't see sparkles on the video either, but based on your description I presume it's similar.) It only happened on the border between black (000000) and red (FF0000) pixels. It turned out that the monitor was not running fine on maximum refresh rate. I selected the lower refresh rate (60Hz in this case) and the problem disappeared. Hope that helps, Evgeni It got really bad tonight, here's a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OlXqRvN9cjo I can't seem to reproduce it at home. It happens at work when I plug in an external monitor. It gets really bad if I suspend from the two monitor setup, then unsuspend without the external monitor. I'll try to run the debug tomm morning at the office. So with an update I'm running xorg-x11-drv-intel-2.17.0-4.fc16.x86_64 and the issue seems to be resolved! Awesome.
