Description of problem:

After update to rawhide 2011-09-30, gnome-shell crashed when arriving at the GDM login screen, so I had no greeter to login.

Greeter session crashes to GNOME fail whale

Additional info:

After much debugging I figured out that the schema file 

/usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/org.gnome.login-screen.gschema.xml

was missing. gnome-shell tried to access settings from that file and crashed in the process.

This file is distributed with GDM 3.2.0. After installing it by hand service was restored.

Note that the GDM 3.2.0 build for rawhide failed in koji. I am not sure whether the schema was distributed with 3.1.90, so it might just be because of a mismatch in version numbers between GDM and gnome-shell.

Fixed in 3.1.92-1.fc16 which I just got... (not sure why, build date says 2011-09-16.
