Description Aleksandra Fedorova 2011-09-30 19:13:35 UTC
When Fedora 16 RC4 is installed with customized set of packages, firstboot shows grey squares instead of all letters.

Steps to Reproduce:

1) During install process choose Minimal installation and tick Customise Now
2) Add groups @base, @base-x, @lxde-desktop.
3) Install, reboot.

Actual results:
Font is missing. See attachment.

Expected results:
Firstboot should have fonts as dependencies or use some fallback-fonts.

Additional info:
If I switch to second console, run 'yum install @fonts' and reboot, firstboot appears with text and works nicely.

Though I tested this bug on a system with default en_US locale, please, don't forget about cyrillic and asian languages support.

Comment 3 Martin Gracik 2011-10-04 08:17:15 UTC
Shouldn't the lxde-desktop have fonts as dependency?

Comment 4 Bill Nottingham 2011-10-17 15:37:32 UTC
If you're installing a desktop, install the fonts group.
