[hans@shalem ~]$ rpm -qf /usr/bin
filesystem-2.4.44-1.fc16.x86_64
icedtea-web-1.1.3-1.fc16.x86_64

icedtea-web should not be there. Standard system dirs should not be owned by any packages other then filesystem, this also causes rpm --verify issues:

[hans@shalem ~]$ rpm --verify filesystem
.......M.    /usr/bin

To fix this I did:
[hans@shalem ~]$ sudo chmod 555 /usr/bin

And then I get:
[hans@shalem ~]$ rpm --verify filesystem
[hans@shalem ~]$ rpm --verify icedtea-web
.......M.    /usr/bin

As an aside, we should offer a friendlier name for itweb-settings.itweb. Perhaps a symlink might come in handy? /usr/bin/itweb-settings -> /usr/bin/itweb-settings.itweb

Others dirs are being owned too, when they shouldn't be. I have a patch for this. Waiting for a couple of other things before I push an update.

icedtea-web-1.1.4-2.fc16 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 16.

Package icedtea-web-1.1.4-3.fc16:

* was pushed to the Fedora 16 testing repository,
* should be available at your local mirror within two days.
Update it with:
# su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing icedtea-web-1.1.4-3.fc16'
as soon as you are able to.
