Description Stephen Gordon 2011-10-05 00:52:50 UTC
Description of problem:

Currently there are a number of topic verbs supported as arguments that used to work but don't any more as a result of changes to the way we build and distribute documentation packages with publican (specifically by using DistCVS directly rather than uploading the SRPM).

The interactive nature of the DistCVS calls in particular means that this behaviour basically doesn't work now. The work around is to, for example:

$ ls
Installation_Guide
$ topic export Installation_Guide/
$ ls
Installation_Guide Installation_Guide_Export
$ cd Installation_Guide_Export/
$ publican package --cvs --lang en-US

Long term I think the best approach to cater for the fact that the build process could always change yet again is to deprecate the in built verbs for this (which as stated above dont currently work anyway) and use this workaround as the recommended approach to building books.
