It's not possible to say what's going on without any logs or other information.

Please provide the following details:
1) rpm -q kernel
2) rpm -q NetworkManager
3) /var/log/messages file
4) output of 'lscpi -vvnn'

Comment 2 Pedro Rodriguez 2011-11-02 23:09:51 UTC
To save your time: I have been running update almost everyday. After the latest update 2 days ago, the problem has gone.

[pedro@pedro-bedro ~]$ rpm -q kernel
kernel-3.1.0-0.rc10.git0.1.fc16.x86_64
kernel-3.1.0-1.fc16.x86_64
kernel-3.1.0-5.fc16.x86_64
[pedro@pedro-bedro ~]$ rpm -q NetworkManager
NetworkManager-0.9.1.90-5.git20110927.fc16.x86_64
[pedro@pedro-bedro ~]$

Sorry to trouble you, and thanks.
