Description Jenny Severance 2011-10-07 15:12:22 UTC
Description of problem:

From the command line, successfully added ::

ipa dnszone-add --name-server=ipaserver.jgalipea.redhat.com --admin-email=test@test --serial=2010010799 --refresh=393 --retry=191 --expire=1292 --minimum=39 --ttl=59 98.16.10.in-addr.arpa.

From the UI ,
IPA Error 3007 'idnsname' is required

If you take the trailing "." from the ptrzone name, the zone will be added, but then you can not add any PTR records.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
ipa-server-2.1.1-4.el6.x86_64

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. add new valid reverse zone with correct trailing "." from the Web UI
2.
3.

Actual results:
IPA Error 3007 'idnsname' is required

Expected results:
Adding zone to be successful
