Additional info:

All previous versions of fedora contained the linuxdcpp package which is one of the few working clients of the direct connect protocol.

It would be great if we have the package in the repositories

Packages are only included in Fedora if there is a willing maintainer for them; linuxdcpp doesn't have one at the moment, so it was removed.
