error message

Description of problem: Cannot access screensaver configuration options

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): .0.9.1.P7

How reproducible: Every Time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open up KDE system settings, display and monitor module
2. Screensavers
3. Choose any RSS GLX screensaver, click the "setup..." button

Actual results:
(see screenshot)

Expected results:
configuration options depending on the chosen module, be it skyrocket, hufo's tunnel, euphoria, or any others. It doesn't appear to work on any of the 20+ available screensavers.

Additional info:
This is low priority. All screensavers appear to be in working, functional order. But it is a matter of polish for average users who frequently set screensavers on their desktops.

All software packages in my system are up to date as of last night.

Same in F16

Comment 2 Edward Sheldrake 2011-11-30 19:24:07 UTC
Also, there are no settings for the rss-glx screensavers within xscreensaver's preferences dialog.

Both problems can be solved by renaming all the rss-glx .xml config files in /usr/share/xscreensaver/config/ to have the "rss-glx-" prefix so that they match the names of the program binaries. e.g. /usr/share/xscreensaver/config/biof.xml -> /usr/share/xscreensaver/config/rss-glx-biof.xml
