Description everyx 2011-10-11 13:20:55 UTC
Description of problem:
anjuta need the package pkgconfig to create a new Gtk simple priject but i was already installed the package pkgconfig-0.25-3.fc15.i686 for my fedora 16.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
1.fedora : 16
2.pkgconfig : pkgconfig-0.25-3.fc15.i686
3.anjuta : anjuta-3.2.0-1.fc16.i686

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open anjuta and click File ▸ New ▸ Project to open the new project assistant. Select GTK+ (simple) on the C tab, and click Forward.
2.the show me that missing the package gtk+-3.0 and i click the button to install the missing package and forward.
3.i get a message to tell me that i should install the package “pkgconfig”, but failed finally.
4.then i use this command to install pkgconfig:“sudo yum install pkgconfig” and it's invalid, because i was already installed the package pkgconfig-0.25-3.fc15.i686.

Actual results:
missing the package “pkgconfig”.

Expected results:
there is no package missing.

Comment 1 Johannes Schmid 2011-10-12 01:06:28 UTC
Hmm, anjuta uses PackageManager to detect if a package is installed and in this case that doesn't seem to work, probably because Fedora gave the package another name.

=> Pinging package maintainer...
