File: backtrace
If you've got a test-case, please mention how to reproduce this crash. I use labels regularly and haven't encountered any crash. Only a tiny piece of the backtrace is in Claws Mail's code. Hi, How to reproduce : 1- open Claws-mail, 2- go into Configuration menu => labels (or tag) 3- select a Labels.. 4- clic on Delet button I tried to lunch Claws in a terminal : $ claws-mail --debug and i got this at the end : filtering.c:189:checking 0 messages mh.c:231:MH scan not required: /home/me/.claws-mail/tempfolder/processing (1318431207 <= 1318431207) folder.c:2733:Save cache for folder #mh/TEMP_FOLDER/processing msgcache.c:1169: Writing message cache to (null) and (null)... msgcache.c:1250:done. msgcache.c:1251:TIMING msgcache_write : 0s000ms mh.c:1369:MH: forced mtime of processing to 1318431207 session.c:225:session (0x36e4610): destroyed msgcache.c:274:TIMING msgcache_get_msg_list : 0s000ms msgcache.c:274:TIMING msgcache_get_msg_list : 0s000ms inc.c:1500:added timer = 1396 msgcache.c:274:TIMING msgcache_get_msg_list : 0s000ms msgcache.c:274:TIMING msgcache_get_msg_list : 0s000ms alertpanel.c:252:Creating alert panel dialog... alertpanel.c:211:called inc_lock (lock count 1) alertpanel.c:221:called inc_unlock (lock count 0) alertpanel.c:106:return value = 1 summaryview.c:5727:called inc_lock (lock count 1) hooks.c:89:unregisted hook 4 in 'msginfo_update' summaryview.c:5734:called inc_unlock (lock count 0) hooks.c:70:registed new hook for 'msginfo_update' as id 5 Erreur de segmentation (core dumped) FYI, i compared the tag in the user interface (Configuration => tag menu) and the file ~/.claws-mail/tagsrc, both are different. There is more tags in the UI than the tagrc file Best regards Thanks. Deleting a Tag crashes. (Tags and different from Labels) http://www.thewildbeast.co.uk/claws-mail/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=2521 Claws Mail devs think this looks like a GTK bug (or glib2). Since it is 100% reproducible (also for me) currently with F-15 and F-16, I'm available to collect more data if necessary. Affected, Fedora 15 and 16 (x86_64): gtk2-2.24.4-2.fc15.x86_64 glib2-2.28.8-1.fc15.x86_64 claws-mail-3.7.9-5.fc15.x86_64 gtk2-2.24.6-1.fc16.x86_64 glib2-2.30.0-2.fc16.x86_64 claws-mail-3.7.10-5.fc16.x86_64 Not affected, Fedora 14 (i686), same Claws Mail as F-15: gtk2-2.22.0-2.fc14.i686 glib2-2.26.0-2.fc14.i686 claws-mail-3.7.9-5.fc14.i686 [...] How to reproduce in Claws Mail: 1. tag a message (e.g. via message list context-menu) 2. select the tagged message 3. open menu "Configuration > Tags" 4. delete the tag -> crash Also reproducible immediately after starting Claws Mail and without selecting a message: 1. open menu "Configuration > Tags" 2. add a tag "test123" 3. delete tag "test123" -> crash Backtrace analysis found this bug to be similar to bug #746042, closing as duplicate.
