Also, oddly enough the "Print Test Page" option is grayed out and unclickable.

Comment 2 Cybertimber2011 2011-10-14 11:36:08 UTC
From an update to my bug 745632, I deleted the queue, disconnected the pritner and reconnected the printer. The correct driver was loaded this time instead of what was being seen as a result of https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=742989

The printer now shows the color option when printing, but I'm not seeing color output. Troubleshooting to see if it's hardware.

Let me know what you discover about whether the hardware is working correctly.

Comment 4 Cybertimber2011 2011-10-31 14:10:58 UTC
Created a fresh Fedora 16 Beta Live USB and fully updated via YUM.
Color option now shows when printing. Going to check persistance.

Yep, still shows after unplug and reboot. The only difference I see is that hplip isn't installed.
Should I try removing the printer, installing HPLIP, and see if it occurs again?

Otherwise, working as expected out of the box.

Comment 6 Tim Waugh 2011-10-31 15:00:57 UTC
Yes please. The printer should work correctly regardless of which drivers are installed at the time the printer is connected (i.e. the 'best' driver should be installed and configured).
