Description Richard Achmatowicz 2010-10-18 13:47:23 UTC
project_key: EDG

The Infinispan configuration file infinispan-configuration.xml $JBOSS_DIST/server/datagrid/deploy/datagrid.sar/META-INF is presently set to the empty element:
<infinispan/>

We need an infinispan configuration file which satisifies the following:

(i) displays all of the available configuration options for Infinispan as appropriate for the EDG (which are a subset of the options available for Infinispan standalone) - e.g. transactional options should not included as they are not available in the EDG

(ii) the options should be descriptively commented so that users may understand their purpose, yet they should be commented out, so that the defaults are accepted

Also, the same configuration file should be used by all Infinispan related components of the EDG (i.e. Infinispan bean itself as well as the REST server). At present, two different configuration files are being referenced (i.e. see) :

$JBOSS_DIST/server/datagrid/deploy/datagrid.sar/META-INF/infinispan-configuration.xml
$JBOSS_DIST/server/datagrid/deploy/datagrid.sar/infinispan-server-rest.war/WEB-INF/web.xml

This configuration should also help the user manage the configuration of JGroups, perhaps by including it in-line or by pointing to an explicit JGroups configuration file.
