I have a similar problem with RH 7.3 The system dies at various points (always a different point)during the installation and aborts I got to a full install on one occasion and rebooted the machine but it crashed with various messages including INIT: ld"X" respawning too fast Input/Output errors seem to be reported during the load The system MSI 645E mainboard Seagate 40 GB HDD Digicolour TNT2 M64 32MB Video card ADI M700 Monitor Dlink 56K PCI modem Pentium 4 processor 1800 MHz Legend 256MB DDRAM Liteon 40X RW CDROM It is a new system which had Windows XP on it in the shop running OK but this was removed by Fdisk I have tried Mediacheck OK Various Partitioning combinations remove all partitions Bad sector check OK Install in partition less than 6GB Changing the RW CDROM for a Sony read only device Changing BIOS settings to various combinations including a "safe" mode I have anacdump file from two occasions - different outputs Most times I dont get a dump file.
