Description Andrew Kroeger 2011-10-16 21:02:08 UTC
Description of problem:
The rpm man page (rpm.8) describes the output of the verify command in the VERIFY OPTIONS section. There are two separate places in this section that describe the output as "8 characters", but the actual output is now 9 characters. Although I cannot read the languages, I believe this issue is also present in the translated versions of this file.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
rpm-4.8.1-5.fc14.x86_64.rpm

Note: This same issue also applies to F15, F16 & rawhide. Please let me know if I need to file separate bugs for each version.

Comment 1 Panu Matilainen 2011-10-17 06:57:18 UTC
Oops, the verify output has indeed has 9 characters since rpm >= 4.7.0. Fixed upstream now, thanks for pointing this out. F14 is unlikely to get anything but security fixes at this point, F >= 15 should receive the fix through updates later on.
