Oh, now I see the problem, "$@" will not preserve the quotes. so bkr will see this:

workflow-simple --servers=1 --clients=1 --distro=RHEL6.2-20111013.1 --task /distribution/reservesys --whiteboard=ypserv, yp-tools

It does not preserve the quotes for the whiteboard string, and thus it never gets set properly.

You could try this as a workaround.:

--whiteboard="'ypserv, yp-tools'"
