This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in the current release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Because the affected component is not scheduled to be updated in the current release, Red Hat is unfortunately unable to address this request at this time. Red Hat invites you to ask your support representative to propose this request, if appropriate and relevant, in the next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. If you would like it considered as an exception in the current release, please ask your support representative. If it will be fixed in a future release that's OK. The http://www.openprinting.org website (where the plugins for HPLIP are uploaded) should be up and running again. Can you please re-test whether the installation of plugin still fails ? I tested this this morning and it was able to download the plugin for scanning. However, there is still an issue. This particular printer also supports faxing. After I got past the scanning issue, when it asked me to add the printer, there was an check box for fax, but clicking on the box did not select the fax. While Red Hat welcomes bug reports on Red Hat products here in our public bugzilla database, please keep in mind that bugzilla is not a support tool or means of accessing support. If you would like technical support please visit our support portal at access.redhat.com or call us for information on subscription offerings to suit your needs. |
