Description Need Real Name 2011-10-19 08:23:08 UTC
Description of problem:
Using preupgrade to upgrade a F15 box, I am shown a progress bar as the upgrade progresses.

Unfortunately the progress bar isn't very useful because it doesn't show me either:
i) the progress based on the amount of time the upgrade will take
or:
ii) the progress based on the number of things the upgrade process has to complete

Additional info:
The cleanup part is under-represented on the progress. That last few percent during cleanup takes *ages* to finish.

In light of the UI rework getting done, the current code is unlikely to get fixed up since we'd just be throwing it away anyway.

Could we at least write "Booting into preupgrade (this may take a few minutes)..."?

The new ui in anaconda-18.3 includes this functionality.
