Description Dave Airlie 2011-10-19 12:00:34 UTC
Description of problem:

Boot the latest EL6.2 development kernel on a llano system (with VGA unplugged and DVI plugged in), and it misdetects a connected VGA device. While debugging this problem upstream we noticed a memory corruption issue was also being caused by the VGA load detection process.

There are a group of fixes upstream that need to be backported to fix this issue.

Comment 1 Dave Airlie 2011-10-19 12:02:12 UTC
this may need AMD help in QA, as I don't think QE have this hardware in house.

I have backported the patches and confirmed they fix the bug on my llano system.

There may be affected llano hw in Westford.
