Description jas 2011-10-19 20:14:35 UTC
Description of problem:

/usr/lib/cups/filter/texttopaps fails to convert text

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

paps-libs-0.6.8-13.el6.2.x86_64
paps-0.6.8-13.el6.2.x86_64

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. echo "hello" | /usr/lib/cups/filter/texttopaps 1 user '' 1 ''

Actual results:

Postscript is generated, but I get an error..
(texttopaps:9134): Pango-CRITICAL **: pango_font_description_set_size: assertion `size >= 0' failed

.. postscript does not contain proper result.

Expected results:

"hello" in postscript file

Other filters with cups work.

texttops filter works.. that is:
echo "hello" | /usr/lib/cups/filter/texttops 1 user '' 1 ''
.. produces expected result.

but cups by default uses texttopaps so printing text files fail unless I pre-convert them to PS.

Enterprise Linux. If you would like it considered as an
exception in the current release, please ask your support
