Comment 1 David Jaša 2012-02-19 14:28:44 UTC
Raising priority - I'm getting issues that are hard to trace without this being implemented.

Comment 2 David Blechter 2012-03-01 13:19:42 UTC
debugging capability is not a High High especially on the devel list. It is up to PM to decide.

Also moving to 6.4 due to the not being acked by PM, and there are 3 days left for 6.3 code freeze.

Comment 3 RHEL Program Management 2012-07-10 06:49:33 UTC
This request was not resolved in time for the current release.
Red Hat invites you to ask your support representative to
propose this request, if still desired, for consideration in
the next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Comment 4 RHEL Program Management 2012-07-11 02:02:25 UTC
This request was erroneously removed from consideration in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4, which is currently under development. This request will be evaluated for inclusion in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4.

Comment 6 Hans de Goede 2012-08-26 11:45:55 UTC
git master has been converted to using syslog for logging, and comes with an rsyslog.conf file to log high precision timestamps and severity levels, see http://cgit.freedesktop.org/spice/linux/vd_agent for details.

You can find the new rsyslog generated logfile under /var/log/spice-vdagent.log, this file contain the log messages from both the system wide daemion, as well as those from the per user X-session processes.

To make the system-level daemon more verbose, create a /etc/sysconfig/spice-vdagentd file, with the following line in there:
SPICE_VDAGENTD_EXTRA_ARGS=-d
To also log each agent mouse event, make that:
SPICE_VDAGENTD_EXTRA_ARGS=-dd

To make the per user session process log more, kill it and from a terminal do:
"spice-vdagent -d"

Comment 7 Hans de Goede 2012-09-01 18:52:49 UTC
This is fixed in spice-vdagent-0.12.0-1.el6. moving to modified.

Comment 12 Tomas Jamrisko 2013-01-14 10:07:02 UTC
