I created a new project and imported a 4.3GB MPEG file (which had been created by tivodecode).

Comment 3 skinslip 2012-02-14 02:00:47 UTC
I was trying to import a file into PiTiVi.

Package: pitivi-0.15.0-1.fc16
Architecture: i686
OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne)

Comment 4 Gwyn Ciesla 2012-03-27 18:03:17 UTC
Does this crash with the 0.15.0-3 in updates-testing?

Comment 5 Sam P. Kuper 2012-04-14 05:18:17 UTC
I installed PiTiVi on Fedora 16 using the Add/Remove Programs utility.
Once installed, I ran PiTiVi and created a new project at 720p25, 48kHz 16-bit.
I clicked the "plus" button to import media files.
In the resulting dialog box, I selected two media files: a .MTS file from a Panasonic Lumix G2 camera, and a .WAV file, and clicked on the button to import them.
The error report appeared.

Package: pitivi-0.15.0-3.fc16
OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne)

Comment 6 Sam P. Kuper 2012-04-14 05:23:35 UTC
Also, the Media Library reported an error with the .MTS file. When I clicked to find out more about the error, this resulted in a dialog box titled, "Error while analyzing a file", which says:

"The following file cannot be used with PiTiVi.

Problem: Missing plugins
Extra information: H.264 decoder
AC-3 (ATSC A/52) decoder"

Comment 7 Sam P. Kuper 2012-04-14 13:24:37 UTC
Attempted to import a .MTS file.

Package: pitivi-0.15.0-3.fc16
OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne)

Comment 8 Gwyn Ciesla 2012-04-16 13:29:55 UTC
Can you test this with pitivi-0.15.1-1.fc16 in updates-testing?

Comment 9 Sam P. Kuper 2012-04-16 19:02:30 UTC

Really short of time and pretty new to Fedora and PiTiVi. Probably won't have a chance to test, but if I do get time, then how would I go about installing this version?

Comment 10 Nick H. 2012-06-13 07:33:59 UTC
Pitivi is unable to play Ogg Theora videos. Does not crash, but is unable to work with ogg theora (even though gstreamer supports ogg theora).

Package: pitivi-0.15.2-1.fc17
OS Release: Fedora release 17 (Beefy Miracle)

Comment 11 Håkon Løvdal 2012-07-02 20:13:53 UTC
Trying to open a flv file (downloaded from youtube).

Package: pitivi-0.15.2-1.fc16

Comment 12 Grzegorz Witkowski 2012-07-26 21:28:48 UTC

Comment 15 Fedora End Of Life 2013-01-16 23:26:47 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 16 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 16. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora
'version' of '16'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 16's end of life.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that
we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 16 is end of life. If you
would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it
against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on
"Clone This Bug" and open it against that version of Fedora.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

The process we are following is described here:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping

Comment 16 Fedora End Of Life 2013-02-14 01:50:47 UTC
Fedora 16 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2013-02-12. Fedora 16 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
