renderchecklog for nVidia Quadro 1000M

Description of problem:
I have a new laptop : HP 8560w with graphical card nvidia quadro 1000m
I have tested all the tests in
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Day:2011-09-06_Nouveau

1-Gnome-Shell use the fallback mode (with nautilus and gnome-panel) and not Gnome-Shell with effects. It's impossible to play to a 3D game. But my graphical card can this under Windows OS.

2-The rendercheck doesn't passed all tests.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Fedora 16, updated

Additional info:
I use the driver nouveau, it's the only video driver active.

This chipset is what nouveau calls NVC1, which we're currently unable to accelerate by default to to rendering issues. You can forcibly enable it with "nouveau.noaccel=0" in your kernel boot options, but, you'll likely see horrible misrendering of gnome-shell as a result.

As nouveau isn't actually doing the rendering on your chipset, this is likely a pixman bug.

Comment 2 Couret Charles-Antoine 2011-10-24 11:47:45 UTC
Ok, the "nouveau.noaccel=0" option is very bad with my card.
And I can't use the nVidia's driver aka « the blob » for the tests.

Why can I help the nouveau project without nVidia's driver (for REnouveau) ? I don't find an other method to dump my card… I want help nouveau to increase the support of my card.

Thank you.

Yes, I know, hence why it's disabled by default :)

It's okay, I currently have access to one of these chipsets anyway, I haven't yet been able to determine why it doesn't work however.

I've got one of these in my new Lenovo Thinkpad W520. If I can help here, please let me know.

Thanks Tom. I've actually solved (hopefully) the problems mentioned above on NVC1 upstream, I shall see about getting those into F16 ASAP.

Comment 6 Tom "spot" Callaway 2011-12-02 15:42:02 UTC
Awesome. I ended up updating to rawhide and things definitely work much better there.

Comment 7 bugra 2012-02-27 12:48:29 UTC
any updates on if this will be fixed in f16?

Comment 8 Couret Charles-Antoine 2012-03-09 23:59:59 UTC
The problem is solved now. ;)

Comment 9 Kamil Páral 2012-03-15 12:37:07 UTC
Comment 8 says the problem is solved, closing the bug.
