Description rlcarro 2011-10-24 22:20:30 UTC
Description of problem: When updating the ypserv package, the Makefile is replaced. It is rare that the out-of-the box Makefile is correct for any domain using automount maps.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
ypserv-2.19-5.el5_6.1 and earlier

How reproducible: Easily

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Build a custom /var/yp/Makefile
2. Subscribe to a channel with a new version of ypserv
3. Run yum update

Actual results:
/var/yp/Makefile is replaced with the rpm default file. This will almost immediately corrupt the entire NIS domain.

Expected results:
Package install should create /var/yp/Makefile.rpmnew and issue a message.
