Description of problem: When an archetype is generated, following dependency is managed by dependencyManagement in hibernate-search-parent. However, the version is not resolved to 4.0.0.CR1 but to actual project version, which is likely 1.0-SNAPSHOT (the default) <dependency> <groupId>org.hibernate</groupId> <artifactId>hibernate-search-analyzers</artifactId> </dependency> Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 4.0.0.CR1 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Generate from archetype Actual results: org.hibernate:hibernate-search-analyzers has dependency on project version Expected results: org.hibernate:hibernate-search-analyzers has dependency on project version Additional info: Does this influence WFK? Do we plan to distribute Hibernate Search 4 quickstart or Hibernate Search 4 archetype as well? I'm not able to add external jira at https://hibernate.onjira.com/browse/HHH-6768
