Description Joshua Wulf 2011-10-27 22:35:58 UTC
When the app server and the database are on different nodes building takes *forever*. A huge amount of data is transferred over the network. Can we optimise this?

Example Content Spec

Either pushing this content to the csprocessor or building it uses up a massive amount of bandwidth.

Should have been fixed as of Version 11. The problem was to do with the database sessions.

Comment 3 Joshua Wulf 2011-11-04 10:51:02 UTC
The only metric I can measure on this at the moment is the server traffic. It's gone from a solid 100MB/s down to 500K-1MB/s.

The build still takes a considerable amount of time, but it's significant in its size.

I don't have the dataset locally to do an A/B test, so we'll close this one for now, and revisit it with some performance testing with each release.
