Description Pete Zaitcev 2011-10-28 05:42:39 UTC
Description of problem:

The volume control appears and disappears endlessly.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

gnome-shell-3.2.1-1.fc17.x86_64
gnome-settings-daemon-3.2.1-1.fc17.x86_64
pulseaudio-0.9.23-1.fc16.x86_64

How reproducible:

Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Log in

Actual results:

Volume icon appears and disappears all the time.

Expected results:

Volume icon is steady.

Additional info:

The following messages are constantly written to ~/.xsession-errors:

media-keys-plugin-WARNING **: Unable to get default sink

** WARNING **: Connection failed, reconnecting...

It's quite likely that the component is not gnome-shell, but I am unable
to find out what component is responsible for the icon.

Comment 1 Pete Zaitcev 2012-02-29 22:46:57 UTC
Looks like it fixed itself in Rawhide.

gnome-settings-daemon-3.2.1-3.fc17.x86_64
pulseaudio-1.1-3.fc17.x86_64

Maybe it was dup of bz#747318.
